Blessed Printable {And Happy 1st Birthday, Blissful Roots!}

If you checked in yesterday, you know I already did a printable with Angela @ A Typical English Home for the week, but I have so many Thanksgiving printables, that I'm not going to get them all in before Thanksgiving if I don't squeeze in a few extras.

This one is very simple, but I really like simple and I LOVE the word blessed.  It has been my word for quite a few years now.  It's the one word I would use to sum up the life I enjoy.  And just like the printable I did for Angela's readers, this can be used year-round, not just at Thanksgiving time.

On another note, one year ago on this very day Blissful Roots came to be.  This was the day I posted my first post ever.
I remember being so terrified!  It took me a couple of weeks to type up the post, and then I let it sit and sit forever because I didn't dare hit the publish button.  It's a bit scary to put yourself out there sometimes, but I've learned that scary can often times be extremely rewarding.  I would have never learned what I've learned (the list is too long to type) over the past year, or made so many new wonderful friends without this little blog of mine.

It has definitely been work, but I don't think it was a coincidence that I found this quote just before I started blogging.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
-Thomas A. Edison

 I feel like this is an opportunity I don't want to miss out on, even if it does requires overalls.  It's work I really enjoy, and I cannot wait to see what the next year brings for me and Blissful Roots.

Also, this post wouldn't be complete without saying thank you to Mariel @ OSSS who reached out to me one month into my blogging experience, and has let me ride along with her ever since.  And a HUGE thank you to you as readers!  As much as I love blogging, there would be no reason to do what I do without you.  You are the reason I keep hitting that publish button (which, I'm happy to report has gotten so much easier!).

So, here are a couple of birthday printables in honor of today's occasion.

You can click  here to see the post I did for my mom's birthday.  That's where you'll find the link to print out the birthday quotes.

And, speaking of parent birthdays, I have to send a late  birthday (it was Sunday) wish to my dad.  He is good, kind, quite, strong, loving, and has instilled in me an unwavering faith that has been a strength to me like nothing else.  I love him for the dad he has always been, and for the grandpa he is today.  Happy (late) birthday, dad!  Love you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you found a little something worth your time.
