I did a post last year on our Unplugged Summer 2013. Our county is participating in it again this year, and my boys are off and running.
Basically, we collect as many brag badges as we can over the summer by doing the different activities listed, and visiting the sponsored businesses to collect the badges. Each week there is a $100 drawing. Each badge is worth a certain number of brags, and for every 5 brags you can turn your name into the drawing once. Great motivation! They even have a $500 drawing at the end of the summer.
These are just a few of the brag badges to be earned (click here to see the entire list). There are 101 in our Heber Valley area. My boys think we're getting them all. We'll see how that goes, but we do have 12 already and we're less than a week into it.
As far as I know, Heber Valley was the only participating county last year, but not any more! Now more of you can play. My mom said Cache Valley is participating in the Unplugged program this summer (which my boys think we need to do on top of our own when we're visiting grandpa and grandma this summer). I checked the website, and learned that in addition to Cache Valley, Cedar City, Granite School District, Heber Valley (that's us!), Millard County, Price Area, Spanish Fork Area, and Vernal Area are all participating this year. There's even some folks in the Mandeville Louisiana Area doing it. So, if you live in one of these areas, get going! Your kids probably already have you going, but if not I'd encourage you to do so. This is our second year, and we're having just as much fun as last year! It gives us something to do when my boys are feeling a bit bored, they love collecting the tags, and we've done a lot of activities/ been to a lot of places we wouldn't have done without the program. Fun all around!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you found a little something worth your time.
