Banana Bread Split

My mother-in-law came up with this idea a few weeks ago when we were needing something for dessert.  We had banana bread on hand, so she thought it would be good to add banana split ice cream on top of it.  It was delicious!  Then we added caramel sauce on top, and it was even more delicious!  If you're in need of a new kind of dessert, give this one a try.  I promise it won't disappoint!



We used a Kroger brand of banana split ice cream, but I'm sure any kind would be good.  Mrs. Richardson's is my favorite store-bought caramel sauce, but here is my very favorite homemade caramel sauce.
